Selection Process

SBI CBO Career Path
After joining, selected candidates will be designated as Circle Based Officers (CBOs) and will undergo a probation period of 6 months. During this period, officers will be continuously assessed to determine their suitability for confirmation. Candidates who meet the standards set by the Bank will be confirmed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Candidates who fail to meet the required standards may have their services terminated as per the Bank’s policy.CBOs will belong to the general cadre and will follow the promotion policy applicable to general cadre officers. Selected officers will not be eligible for inner-circle transfer until they are promoted to SMGS-IV Grade or complete 12 years of service, whichever comes later.
