To apply for benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), applicants must provide the following documents:
- Know Your Customer (KYC) form
- Aadhaar Card of the applicant (as proof of identity). It will also serve as proof of address if the applicant resides at the same address mentioned in Aadhaar. (This requirement is not mandatory for Assam and Meghalaya).
- Ration Card issued by the State Government (or other valid state government document). For migrant applicants, a self-declaration of family structure as per Annexure I is required.
- Aadhaar numbers of the beneficiary and all adult family members, as reflected in the family document.
- Bank account number and IFSC code of the applicant.
- Supplementary KYC documents, if required, to support the family’s eligibility status.

Is there any subsidy for refilling LPG cylinders under the scheme?
Yes. For 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders used by Ujjwala beneficiaries, there is a ₹300 subsidy per refill (for up to nine refills per year). For 5 kg cylinders, the subsidy is proportionally pro-rated.
When will the new connections be disbursed / installed?
